About DMS:
A Few Words From Our Driver
I have been very fortunate to have a family that has been around
race cars and street rods all of my life. My racing career started
with my Dad and my Uncles who raced at Lions drag strip in Southern
California in the mid 1960's. Until I could drive I helped as
often as I could. When I received my driver's license in 1976
I raced in the street classes at Sacramento Raceway and won several
times. I then bought a 1969 Camaro and built it to race Sportsman
at Sacramento Raceway.
....I was lucky enough to win 4 races
in the Sportsman class. In 2002 , the Camaro was redone and began
running in the West Coast Pro Gas Association for 2 years. In
the beginning it was very hard to run with these guys (Very Good
Racers). We finished 11th the first year and 4th the second year.
....As I felt my need for speed grow
I came across a member of the Association that had a B/Gas 1955
Chevy that won him the championship in both the C and B/Gas classes
3 years in a row. We sat out the 2005 season, bought and painted
the car, and began racing it in 2006. The first race out I ran
B/Gas and Won! From there we were very busy starting a new company.
I put all my focus into the business and it paid off! The business
is doing well and is allowing me to step up in a big way.
....I met Dana Wardell and purchased
his 511ci Rodeck engine. Dana told me to take it to Bob Bunker
Jr. to have it set into the car. We loaded the car up and took
it to Bunker Race Cars in Shingle Springs, CA. I have always
looked up to the Bunkers and their cars and wished that someday
I could get to their level. I left the car with Bob Jr. and let
him do his thing. He hooked me up with the right people to build
this beautiful car! From the paint (Reeds Auto Body) to the chassis
and guys in the shop they have all helped me live this dream!
And a special thanks to all my family and crew members that help
make this dream come true everyday!
